What is processed

If you authorize an attachment, the service receives a temporary download URL and file metadata from ChatGPT, downloads the selected file, and processes its contents to inspect columns, calculate accruals or generate an export. Files may contain employee identifiers, names, salaries, bonus targets, employment dates and eligible days. Use only data you are authorized to provide, and omit unnecessary personal information.

Where processing happens

The application runs on Google Cloud Run in us-central1. Using it inside ChatGPT does not mean processing is restricted to your computer or to OpenAI. OpenAI handles attachments and conversations under its own policies and your account settings. This pilot does not make its own AI model API calls.

Storage and logs

The application does not intentionally save uploaded payroll files or calculation results to a database or file store. They are processed in request memory. The application records action type, outcome, HTTP status and duration for monitoring. These usage events do not include employee values, file contents or signed file URLs. Cloud infrastructure separately records request metadata. The project’s default logging retention is currently 30 days. Authorized project administrators can access logs.

Results and exports

Calculation summaries and validation information may be returned to the AI conversation. Employee detail is returned to the embedded interface; this is not a guarantee that host software cannot access it. Excel exports contain employee-level results and original source columns. Hiding employee names in the interface does not remove them from an export. You control downloaded copies; ChatGPT retention is managed through OpenAI settings.

Controls

The pilot offers no saved customer account or cross-session workspace. Clearing the interface does not delete your ChatGPT attachments, conversation history or downloaded files. No advertising analytics are added by this application.
